About

I am going to be using this blog for my photographs, Please re-blog and share if you like but please do not remove my tag. If you don't like my Photographs, Just leave my page, please don't be rude. Constructive criticism Is more than welcome I've only just built up the confidence to try new things (Camera wise) and upload and share my photographs, no they are not as impressive as others out there but I am learning and loving every second of it, so stick around and keep checking back, I may end up impressing you ;) **Unless stated otherwise all the photographs featured on this blog were taken by me

Tarlia Hodges-Hala

It was a ton of fun taking these photographs (Except being attacked by that mutant fly several times) This was also the first time that Ashleigh Nielsen came on board and started to help with hair (She did a fantastic job)

** Huge thanks to Lauren Angus for assisting me on this shoot :D And Another Thanks to Ashleigh for the amazing job on Tarlia's hair :D

Natasha - Pre Formal

All the hard work of editing is all worth it when you see their face genuinely LIGHT UP when they see their photographs, it really does make every painful sleep deprived minute worth it!

Lauren Angus & Mellory Foley

I had noticed more and more tribal beads and things turning up in fashion magazines, and I had recently ordered some tribal things from e-bay, I was inspired and very interested in creating something, so I once again enlisted the help of Lauren Angus, and brought on board Mellory Foley, as these were both quite confident young ladies who I knew would be willing to try anything I was offering. A HUGE amount of preparation went into this shoot, I drew up some face charts to give the girls a basic outline of what I would be doing to them, and they both seemed very excited.

I bought various things for this shoot including; face paints, jewelry, twine,(Which was used in both girls hair, I wrapped the blue twine in with Mellory’s hair braids, and created smaller braids out of brown and red twine which I tied onto bobby pins and slid into Laurens hair)feathers, beads, new hair curlers and various new shades of eye shadows. I had a basic idea of what I wanted to do with each girl, and the rest was basically done on a whim, both girls were SUPER SUPER SUPER patient with me while I sat for roughly 30-40 minutes with each drawing those marking on their faces, constantly erasing, and backtracking and triple checking everything seemed symmetrical and even in color. I tested their patience further by CONSTANTLY moving them from one rock to the other, re-positioning their poses, shouting at them and ordering them about, but not once did any of them complain, they did exactly what I asked and because of that we got some of my favorite photos, I was so overwhelmed by these photographs when I saw them, they were perfect and had exceeded my original expectations. So I would just like to use this to say a HUMONGOUS thank you to both Lauren and Mellory for everything that day, (It was torrential rain and thunder and lightning that morning, and they both still came round and were willing to brave the weather to help me get those photos), these photographs would NOT have been possible without you both!

** BIG Thanks to Jan Thomson for all of her help with these photographs (And helping the girls get safely across the running water ;)

Courtney Fegan

I asked Courtney to model for me so that I could practice some more and experiment with some new things (And also as a thank you for all of her help) and she agreed to help me out. The first day we had some difficulties with extremely harsh lighting (And quite a few people standing and gawking haha, which can always be off putting for those in front of the camera) and timing, We had planned to arrive at the location of the shoot early in the afternoon and due to some minor set backs (One being my horrendous map reading skills) we unfortunately did not get there until 4-30 which only gave us roughly an hour of good light, So these did not quite turn out the way everybody had hoped, There were some amazing shots, but we did not have the time that we would have liked.
** Huge thanks to Lauren Angus for coming along and helping us out with these.

For the second one we decided to take a completely different approach, We changed her make-up (Kept the same color schemes) and chose a completely different location, Courtney never once complained and did everything that I asked her to do (Including lying on a flimsy branch, hanging over some very deep and some very dirty water) which ALWAYS makes a massive difference, we were able to get some beautiful unique shots and we were both over the moon with these photographs, and the response was quite overwhelming!!!
